Hockey Alberta, Dodge Chrysler Jeep and the Alberta provincial retailers are excited to see the Dodge Caravan Kids Program enter into its second year. In its first year, a total of 76 teams across Alberta enrolled in the program with $38, 000 in sponsorship dollars being awarded.
The program is a joint initiative between Dodge Chrysler Jeep and participating amateur hockey organizations across Canada designed to filter corporate sponsorship money back to its members. Local retailers, in cooperation with Hockey Alberta, will be funding novice teams in minor hockey associations throughout the Province contributing to the development of minor hockey players at the grassroots level.
“This program is our way of helping young boys and girls enjoy the great game of hockey. In addition to the physical fitness and health benefits, players will learn valuable life skills including leadership, dedication, teamwork, the importance of listening to authority, respect, sportsmanship, perseverance and most importantly how to have fun,” said Reid Bigland, president and CEO, Chrysler Canada.
The Dodge Caravan Kids program is an easy way to gain sponsorship dollars for your novice teams. Each novice team that chooses to participate in the program will receive $500 in sponsorship dollars.
All local registered Hockey Alberta Associations/teams of novice age are eligible for this sponsorship and there is no limit to the number of teams allowed to participate from
each Association.
IMPORTANT DATES:
OCTOBER 15, 2009 - Minor Hockey Association and Team Contact Information Sign Up
• Complete registration form including Association and contact information for each team that will be participating.
NOVEMBER 15, 2009 - Team Photo
• Provide a team photo with Dodge Caravan Kids sponsor bars on jerseys. Examples of pictures can be found on the Dodge Caravan Kids website.
NOVEMBER 15, 2009 - Invoice to Hockey Alberta
• Submit an invoice for $500 for each participating team for reimbursement
